SUPERVISION

Supervision or work guidance?

The most significant difference between supervision and work guidance is the focus: in supervision the professional and their personal development are focussed on, in work guidance the patient, client or case.

I offer both from extensive experience in both the healthcare and commercial industry; it is also about 'growing' in the profession, forming a professional identity and learning to act professionally and autonomously.

My focus is individual job-oriented personal guidance for executive employees. The personal functioning and the exercise of the objectives and working method set by the employer related to the position can be discussed. However, it is not a conversation about professional performance from my side, but a discussion of the role of the employee and what motivating or limiting processes are.

I start from positive reinforcement and aim to motivate people within a framework that has challenges.

Naturally, everything that has been discussed remains between me and the employee: I am bound by my professional code to maintain confidentiality with regard to what comes to my knowledge on account of my profession.
